If you’re mainly here for programming, feel free to skip ahead 🎯.
For everyone else, stick around, I’d love to share a little glimpse into my journey.
🖊️ Life has had its twists and turns. I’ve faced illness and many struggles, but with the support of amazing people around me, I’m ready to move forward and build a meaningful life with my family.
Who am I?
I’m a curious soul, always exploring new ideas and experiences. Life’s challenges have taught me to stay present and appreciate the small, fleeting moments that often matter most.
Early on, I realized I have social anxiety and some traits of autism, which made social situations a bit tricky. Over time, I’ve learned to embrace these parts of myself. I’ve also discovered that I’m a Highly Sensitive Person, which explains a lot about how I experience the world. It can make some things difficult, but it also helps me appreciate deep conversations and notice life’s little details.
Because of these experiences, studying, working, and living what I’d call a normal life unfolded differently for me, and navigating them shaped my resilience, perspective, and approach to life.
Learn. Share. Grow – My Turning Point
In 2017, a friend encouraged me to travel from Sweden to Borgå, Finland, to train as an animal caretaker. I thought it would be a step toward the life I wanted, but it was much harder than I expected, and my social anxiety made it challenging. Still, the experience pulled me out of isolation and helped me become more ✨ self-aware. It also helped me understand myself and the world better, and grow stronger in many ways.
Not long after that, I travelled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where I discovered a simpler yet richer way of life, unlike anything I’d known before. People lived more slowly, with less rush and more connection to one another. They helped each other, no matter who they were, and there was a strong sense of kindness and warmth. Life felt more direct, more personal, and more alive. Seeing people give what little they had deepened my appreciation for generosity and showed me what truly matters.
For the first time, I understood that sharing isn’t just about giving away things you no longer need. True sharing means giving what you love and use, from the heart. It also made me realize we all have the ability to share what we love and touch others’ lives. And that insight made me realize it was time to start living my life for real.
I started by tackling things I’d been putting off: I went through tough jaw surgery, returned to school, got a job coach, and began studying life sciences to become a pharmaceutical operator. I wanted to make a real impact by focusing on only the good parts of life sciences, like bioinformatics, to eliminate animal testing. Then COVID hit, and I burned out.
Finding Sparks in Life
So, what sparks my interest and brings me joy? 🐺 Animals mean the world to me, and 🎵 music has always been a part of my life. I’ve been playing the piano since I was 8, and it’s given me a way to express what words can’t. When I’m not lost in music, I love ✨ creating and exploring, really, anything that lets me experiment, bring ideas to life, and express myself.
I also find joy in 🌱 nature, film, reading, and exercise, as they help me stay grounded. 🥗 Food is another passion, with Italian and Ethiopian dishes as favourites, though I’m always up for trying new flavours, especially spicy ones. I’ve loved cooking and baking since I was a kid and really enjoy experimenting with recipes. Alongside food and hobbies, I’m passionate about 🌍 languages and cultures, always seeking meaningful experiences.
Anyway, that’s a little glimpse into who I am, for now.
🎯 My Programming Journey
Here’s the story of how I got started with coding, and why it’s still such a big part of my life and continues to inspire me.
In the beginning
I started 💻 coding when I was a kid. It was fun and exciting, like unlocking a whole new world where anything was possible. As I went on, I kept learning, and programming always felt limitless. Even today, it still amazes me how powerful it is and what’s possible. It truly blows my mind.
When I first started, things were simpler. A few books and a manual were enough to understand how an entire machine worked. Technology felt more open, you could really dig in and see how everything fit together. These days, computers are faster and more capable, but also wrapped in layers of complexity, security, and abstraction that make them harder to fully grasp.
That said, you don’t need to know everything to build great software. But if you want your programs to stand out, to be faster, more reliable, or just have that extra spark, you do need to go deeper.
What’s worth learning?
The challenge today is that new programming languages and tools keep popping up fast. It’s exciting, of course, but also a bit overwhelming. What’s worth your time? How do all the pieces fit together with what already exists?
Over time, I’ve learned to stop chasing trends and instead focus on how things connect, because understanding those connections is what makes learning powerful.
Bringing It All Together!
Anyways, I hope to show you how to use and connect existing building blocks to solve problems quickly, and how to build things from scratch to create exactly what you want. There’s real joy in learning new things, solving tricky problems, helping others, and building practical solutions that shine in all their qualities, from speed and reliability to creativity and elegance. On this blog, I’ll share my projects, experiments, and what I’ve learned, hoping to spark curiosity and show what’s possible with technology.
Of course, the key to learning never changes: you master the basics, learn by doing. Understand the rules with your mind, then break them with your heart.
And that is exactly what we will do!
Alright, enough of that – let’s get to the fun! 🚀
☕ Goodbye Hello!
